# SmartRecruiters

The SmartRecruiters integration lets you manage jobs and applications in one place. Jobs created in SmartRecruiters are automatically synced to JOIN and published across multiple job boards. When candidates apply, JOIN collects and forwards their applications directly into SmartRecruiters—so you can focus on hiring while JOIN handles the distribution.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Before you begin, make sure to review the [External HR tools](https://help.join.com/integrations/external-hr-tools) article to understand the general requirements and limitations that apply to all integrations (e.g. sync frequency, job limits, multi-language/locations, screening questions).
{% endhint %}

Once connected, the SmartRecruiters integration allows you to:

* Sync jobs from SmartRecruiters to JOIN for multiposting
* Receive applications from JOIN directly into SmartRecruiters
* Manage your recruitment process entirely from SmartRecruiters

{% endstepper %}

### Screening questions

JOIN supports syncing screening questions from SmartRecruiters for the following field types:

* Short text (e.g. input text, text area)
* Number fields
* Yes/No (radio buttons mapped as single select)
* Multiple choice (multi-select or checkboxes)
* [Knockout questions](https://help.join.com/jobs/job-creation#to-create-a-custom-screening-question) are not supported

{% hint style="info" %}
If you encounter issues with how questions or answers appear, please contact JOIN support so we can review your specific setup.
{% endhint %}

### Candidate source tracking

JOIN always sends source information with each application.

* In SmartRecruiters, the source will always appear as JOIN
* This is part of SmartRecruiters' fixed configuration and cannot be customised

***

### Job filtering

SmartRecruiters currently **does not support filtering** which jobs are synced to JOIN.

* All active jobs within your JOIN job limit may sync by default
* If you require more control over this, please contact JOIN Support to share feedback—we’re actively collecting use cases for future improvements
