# Job Today

Learn about integrating Job Today with JOIN. This guide explains requirements, setup steps, and how your jobs and applications sync between the two platforms.

{% hint style="info" %}
This integration is only available for companies with an active [Job Today](https://jobtoday.com/de/landings/hire) employer account and a subscription that includes job postings.
{% endhint %}

Job Today is a mobile-first hiring platform focused on frontline roles, with a strong presence in Spain and the UK. Whether you are looking for staff for a full-time, part-time, casual or student job, Job Today can help you boost your reach to candidates looking for jobs in hospitality, retail, administration, education, health and social care, construction, sales, delivery, and many others.&#x20;

Through JOIN's integration, you can automatically publish your open jobs to your Job Today employer account and receive the applications back in JOIN.

After activation, all jobs you publish through JOIN are automatically sent to Job Today. Any applications received through Job Today are transmitted back to JOIN, where you can manage them as usual.

{% hint style="warning" %}
JOIN acts only as a transmitter. Job Today reviews every job it receives and may take a job offline if it does not meet their posting requirements.
{% endhint %}

### Requirements for integration

Before you can activate the integration in JOIN, you need the following from Job Today:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Have a Job Today employer account

If you do not yet have an employer account with JobToday, create one on [jobtoday.com](https://jobtoday.com). Your account must be active and have job-posting credits available, otherwise Job Today will reject the jobs JOIN sends.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Request your client secret

Contact your Job Today account manager and ask them to activate the JOIN integration for your employer account. Job Today will then issue a client secret for your account.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Check it is the right account

If your company has more than one Job Today employer account, make sure the client secret belongs to the account you want your JOIN jobs to appear on. Once connected, Job Today links the secret to your JOIN company, and the secret cannot be changed in JOIN afterwards.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
These steps must be completed directly with Job Today. JOIN cannot request a client secret on your behalf.
{% endhint %}

***

### Activating the integration

Once you have your client secret, you can enable the integration in JOIN:

1. In JOIN, go to `Settings` → `Integrations` → `Job Today`.
2. Paste your client secret into the `Client secret` field.
3. Click `Save changes` to activate the integration.

Once connected, you'll see the integration marked as `Connected` in your JOIN account. All your published jobs will then be sent to Job Today automatically.

{% hint style="info" %}
After activation, archive any jobs you created directly in Job Today to avoid duplicates.
{% endhint %}

### How jobs sync

Once the integration is active, JOIN keeps your Job Today ads in line with your jobs:

* **Publishing a job** in JOIN creates the ad on Job Today.
* **Editing a job** in JOIN updates the ad on Job Today.
* **Unpublishing or archiving a job** in JOIN takes the ad down from Job Today.
* **Republishing a job** in JOIN puts the ad back online on Job Today.

Changes are sent to Job Today in regular batches, so it can take a short while for an update to appear there.

Applications from Job Today arrive in JOIN like any other [application](/candidates-and-applications/candidates-overview-and-filters.md), and are shown as coming from JobToday.

***

### Disabling the integration

To stop publishing to Job Today, go to `Settings` → `Integrations` → `Job Today` and click `Disable`. Your jobs will be taken down from Job Today, and no new jobs will be sent.

To start publishing again, click `Enable`. You do not need to enter your client secret again.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You cannot replace or edit your client secret in JOIN once it's saved. If you entered the wrong secret, or need to connect a different Job Today account, contact our support team.
{% endhint %}

***

### Job quality guidelines

Your job ad may be rejected or taken offline by Job Today if:

* The job location cannot be matched to a real place. Check that the city and country on your job are correct.
* Your Job Today account has no job-posting credits left, or is not active.
* The job is excluded by import filters set up on your Job Today account.
* The job does not meet Job Today's moderation standards.

If JobToday takes a job offline through moderation, JOIN will not put it back online automatically. You can check the posting status on the job's `Postings` tab in JOIN. If you have fixed the issue and the ad is still not showing on Job Today, contact our support team.

### FAQs

<details>

<summary>Are all my jobs sent to Job Today?</summary>

Yes. Once connected, every job you publish in JOIN is sent to Job Today. If you only want some jobs to appear, for example only jobs in a specific country, ask your Job Today account manager to set up import filters on your Job Today account.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do screening questions carry over to Job Today?</summary>

Your screening questions are sent with the job. Job Today does not support file upload questions or cover letters, so candidates applying through Job Today won't answer these.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why is my job not showing on Job Today?</summary>

Check the job's `Postings` tab in JOIN for an error. The most common causes are a location Job Today can't recognise, no job-posting credits left on your Job Today account, or a job filtered out by your Job Today import settings. See [Job quality guidelines](#job-quality-guidelines).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens to my Job Today ads if I disable the integration?</summary>

All your jobs are taken down from Job Today. Applications you've already received stay in JOIN.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I connected the wrong Job Today account. What should I do?</summary>

go to `Settings` → `Integrations` → `JobToday` and click `Disable` so no further jobs are sent, then contact our support team. They can help you remove the ads from the wrong account and connect the correct client secret.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.join.com/integrations/external-profiles/job-today.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
