Organic Multiposting

Publish your job ads across multiple job boards with JOIN’s Multiposting feature. This article explains how multiposting works, the types available, and how to track performance and visibility.

Multiposting in JOIN refers to the automatic distribution of your job ads across multiple job boards to help you attract candidates with less manual effort. The type and reach of multiposting available to you depend on your subscription plan, with additional options to promote jobs further through paid ads.

Standard Job Boards

Every job you publish via JOIN is automatically posted to a selection of organic 2, standard job boards—based on your plan, location, and other criteria. These boards help generate organic traffic and candidate applications without any manual work.

The Standard job boards sub-tab gives you a transparent view of where your job is being published organically. This page is available within every job and shows the real-time distribution status across all eligible standard job boards depending on your subscription tier.

By default, JOIN shares your job ad on the following Standard job boards
  • Google for Jobs

  • Jobchannel

  • Careerjet

  • meinstadt.de

  • LinkedIn

  • Indeed

  • Glassdoor

  • Kimeta

  • Joblift

  • Talent.com

  • alleskralle

  • jobleads

  • Dr Job

  • Ambition

  • XING

You can use this view to:

  • Check which boards your job has been sent to

  • Monitor the publication status of each board

  • See how many candidates and clicks each board has generated

If you want to see exactly where your job is being sent, JOIN provides a clear overview within each job.

To check where your job is listed:

  1. Click Jobs in the sidebar menu and select the job you want to review

  2. Open the Standard job boards sub-tab

  3. Review the job boards shown, along with their status, number of candidates, and number of clicks

2 We refer to these as "standard" or "organic" or "free" job boards because JOIN sends your jobs to these job boards automatically in the form of organic multipostings—meaning the listing is published without requiring additional payment from your side, and visibility for your jobs is earned rather than purchased.

Each job board entry displays:

  • Board name and logo

  • Status of publication (e.g. Published, Not published)

    • Published: JOIN has sent your job to the job board, and it's visible or pending live. It can take up to 24 hours for your job to be live on some platforms.

    • Not published: The job has not yet been posted to this board, often because setup is missing.

  • Candidates – Number of candidates who applied via that job board.

  • Clicks – Number of users who clicked the Apply button (this is not the number of job views).

  • Action required: The job board requires you to complete additional steps—such as linking a company profile (common with LinkedIn or XING). In this case, simply click on the button and follow the steps.

Job performance on different job boards varies by board due to factors like labour market conditions, job location, and attractiveness of the role. While we do not directly control performance on job boards, we work closely with our partners to optimise placement and improve results wherever possible.

Job not visible on a job board

A job may be rejected or removed from a job board for several reasons, including:

  • The job board’s guidelines or terms of use are not met

  • The content no longer complies with posting rules

  • Job board-specific restrictions on certain roles, locations, or industries

If you notice that your job is missing from a job board, contact us at [email protected]. Our team will review the issue and help determine whether it can be resolved on our side or whether it needs to be addressed directly with the job board.

FAQs

What is multiposting, and why should I use it?

Multiposting means automatically publishing your job ad on multiple job boards at once with just one click. A multiposting tool like JOIN automates this process, saving you time and effort.

Benefits of multiposting

  • Reach more candidates: Different job seekers use different platforms. For example, a Graphic Designer may browse Behance, while a Content Marketing Manager might use OMR Jobs. Posting on multiple boards ensures your ad is visible to diverse and more relevant audiences.

  • Faster hiring: Wider reach brings in more applications, increasing your chances of finding the right candidate quickly and reducing time to hire.

  • Better cost control: By comparing performance across platforms, you can identify which job boards deliver the best results and optimise your recruitment budget, lowering your cost per hire.

Using multiposting in JOIN helps you streamline job distribution, track performance, and attract the right candidates efficiently.

What is the difference between organic and premium job posting?

At JOIN, the main distinction between organic (standard) and premium (paid) job posting lies in visibility, reach, and targeting power. Understanding how each works will help you choose the right strategy for your role.

Organic job postings

These are unpaid listings published on Standard job boards through JOIN's Basic or Advanced Multiposting.

  • Cost: Typically free (based on your JOIN plan)

  • Visibility: Depends on job board algorithms and relevance; visibility can decrease over time

  • Audience: Targets active job seekers actively browsing or searching

  • Placement: Appears in chronological or relevance-based order; not prioritised

Premium job postings

Premium postings are paid promotions that increase visibility and reach on high-traffic platforms.

  • Cost: Paid per job or bundled as part of a promotion package

  • Visibility: Boosted by the job board, often placed at the top of search results or highlighted

  • Audience: Reaches both active and passive candidates through enhanced targeting

  • Placement: Prioritised in listings; appears higher and more frequently than organic listings

JOIN allows you to start with organic reach for free and add premium promotion where needed—for critical roles, hard-to-fill locations, or senior positions.

On which organic/standard job boards are my jobs published automatically?

Your jobs are distributed across JOIN's broad partner network depending on your subscription plan. Many boards receive your postings for free; the exact set depends on location and availability. Partners include major boards and country-specific or industry-specific sites.

Need more reach? Promote jobs across 250+ premium boards directly in JOIN.

What this means

  • Broad partner network for maximum reach

  • Location-specific selection of boards per country

  • Industry-relevant boards for roles in Tech & IT, Healthcare, Finance, Engineering, Hospitality, and more

Can I track the performance of my job posting?

Yes. JOIN provides insights on:

  • Application sources: See which boards deliver the most applications

  • Application numbers: Monitor total applications per job

  • Candidate location: View applicant geographies

Use these data to refine job content, focus on effective sources, and make informed decisions. Access analytics and exports in the Applications tab.

Can candidates use the Quick Apply feature on job ads across different job sites when I multipost a job?

Yes. Candidates can use the Quick Apply feature directly on multiple job boards, such as Indeed and Stepstone. The Quick Apply feature greatly cuts down time spent on an application, improving your job ads’ conversion.

What are the benefits of Multiposting?

Multiposting enables you to post your job to multiple job boards at once with just one click. JOIN's Multiposting feature helps you create job ads effortlessly and post them across 15+ free job boards and 250+ premium job sites with minimal effort.

Additionally, users can benefit from Paid Multiposting (includes premium job boards which cover a much wider range of sites and enable maximised reach to talent).

Why am I not receiving enough applications?

There are several factors that can influence the number of applications you receive, and unfortunately, we don't have direct control over all of them. While we do our best to ensure your jobs reach the right audience, the overall response rate depends on various elements:

  • Job offer: The attractiveness of the job itself is crucial. Factors like salary, working conditions, career opportunities, and additional benefits can all influence the number of people who apply.

  • Location: The geographical location of the job can also play a role. Some regions may experience high demand for certain skills, while others may have a surplus of qualified candidates.

  • Economic/job market situation: The current state of the job market can significantly impact the number of applicants. During periods of high employment or skills shortages, it might be more challenging to find suitable candidates.

  • Timing & Seasonality: Around public holidays and vacations, applications can fluctuate.

While we can't control these external factors, we're constantly working to optimise your job postings and ensure they reach the most relevant candidates. We maintain close relationships with our partner job boards to improve the performance of published jobs and maximise your chances of finding the right talent.
